Contact me to confirm my availability in the timeframe and for the turnaround you need. Include the type of document (trial, deposition, EUO, etc.) and the number of pages. You can also use this email link to ask questions or schedule a consultation or interview.
I will respond to your inquiry and confirm the number of pages, the turnaround time, and my rate for the job.
Attach a PDF of the fully scoped transcript to an email and send it to me. Also attach your Reporter’s Preference Sheet if you have one. Contact me if you do not have a PDF of the transcript. I may be able to either use what you have or help you create a PDF.
If the job is large, please send it in 100-page chunks so we can both be working on the job simultaneously for efficiency.
I will let you know that I have received the PDF file and again confirm your turnaround time. Proofreading time begins when I receive the file. If I receive the file after 9:00 p.m. Central time, the job will be “clocked in” at 8:00 a.m. Central time the following day.
I go to work proofreading your transcript.
I return the annotated transcript PDF by the agreed-upon deadline. I send only the pages with corrections, with all suggestions clearly marked. This saves you time by not having to search through every page.
After you receive the corrected transcript, please follow up with any questions or feedback. I value your feedback and will utilize it to refine your individual Preference Sheet, providing an even better experience for you each time we work together.
For established clients, I send you an invoice on the 1st and the 15th of each month. If this is the first time that I’ve proofread for you, I send you the invoice for my services immediately after returning the corrected transcript PDF.
Payment is due within 10 days upon receipt of invoice and can be made directly from the invoice by credit card or direct deposit. For new clients, payment for the first invoice is required before future work will be accepted.
